The Queen of Concierge

Serena Cook is Ibiza's go-to-girl for high-end concierge services. Her company Deliciously Sorted is referenced almost every week by media, and now she is Pacha's new monthly columnist alongside Rossetta Montenegro.

"IBIZA'S star is in the ascendant and high-end clients from around the world are flocking to the island this summer. How is our little slice of paradise coping? The simple truth is that there are simply not enough moorings for the super yachts, hotel rooms at the Ibiza Gran, sunbeds at Blue Marlin or VIP tables at the clubs. And how incredibly fortunate it seems we are that despite the crisis everybody still needs a holiday.

For me, early mornings in the office mean that my social life has had to be limited to early evening activities. The only disco dancing this month has been to one of my favourite DJs, Sasha, at Ushuaia. And what a line-up from them this season: Guetta, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia and Luciano. But Sasha's clever mixing of melodic beats and contemporary sounds are a must for me. Kasabian at Ibiza Rocks was another highlight - one of the world's great rock bands performing to a crowd of just 500 lucky people.

A celebratory extravaganza was my friend Jade Jagger's four-day wedding/festival back in the UK, culminating in her (and her new husband's) "1971" night at Atzaro beach, which saw Severino of Horse Meat Disco and Pooldisco fame spinning happy disco tunes for dancing in the sand. Another heavenly evening was the almond cracking machine fundraiser at Chris Dew's Casita Verde. Buying this machine for the island will not only ensure more profit for farmers and encourage sustainability, but also mean the beautiful almond trees which blossom in February will always be part of the island vistas.

For cooking at home, I'm loving Can Gabriel's locally grown organic baskets, bursting with scrumptious fruit and vegetables and delivered straight to your door. For food on the run, my new favourite is the Burger Bar in Santa Eularia; open every day from 11am-3am, you can grab a chunky yummy homemade burger for less than €10. And for rooftop elegance, I just love the new Cipriani grill, serving melt-in-the-mouth pizza as well as Cipriani classics.

For the month ahead I cannot wait for London members' bar the Groucho Club to take over Sa Talaia from August 16. With a créche and Groucho London menu around the pool by day, each night will feature guest chefs such as foodie Tom Parker Bowles. Their legendary pianist is also coming over, and with Arthur Baker on board as musical director, the entertainment promises to be exciting!

And yes, despite the August social overdrive, the truly unique thing about Ibiza is that you can still escape it all. Some of my favourite moments are always on the hidden beaches or local restaurants where you would have no idea that only a few short kilometers away is a pulsating hedonist's paradise."
