Meanwhile in Ibiza with Serena Cook. August started with a bang as Paris Hilton mania consumed the island. On her rocking first trip to Ibiza, accompanied by only two girlfriends, Paris went from dancing in the foam at Amnesia to doing an impromptu rendition of her new single at Jade Jagger's Jezebel night in Pacha.

Her trip culminated in a soiree privee on the terrace of the L'elephant, this years bar/restaurant par excellence. Pink Paris Caipiroskas were created just for her - she wouldn't have expected anything less. With the party season peaking in the 3rd weeks of August (and Deliciously Sorted, my super-concierge company in meltdown) it's simply not possible to attend all the dinner, parties and club nights on the island.

Top house party points went to the Cabo de Plata crew (previous occupant Kate Moss) replaced with Calthorpes, Spencer Churchills, Al-Swaidis et al. Dinner there turned into a 24 hour disco with Eric Morillo playing all night and day long. Eventually shut down by the police - the cause, unsurprisingly noise pollution.

From then on it was mayhem, Flora Astor and her devil-horned, angel-winged hen party caused absolute chaos as did the flamenco night given by Tamara Beckwith and Giorgio Veroni.

Jo Bamford's pre-Pacha drinks was the perfect reflection of the Ibiza scene with young and old socializing together; think 30-year Ibiza veterans Michael and Marina Cowdray chilling with Sienna Miller. Guests were shuttled to Pacha where Florence Brudenell Bruce shimmied with new beau and grand prix winner Jensson Button while Diddy partied with his posse.

As ever the grooviest bash on the island was Jade Jagger's - the antithesis of last years 500 guest extravaganza with a select set of 50. Newly weds Katy England & Bobby Gillespie, Gawain Rainey and Jasmine Guiness, cool stylist Alistair Mackie, Agent Provocateur's Serena Rees, James Jagger - they all got down as Jade and Skin of Skunk Anansie spun the tunes.

The climax of the week was John Hitchcox's annual bash but the usual August finale, the bank holiday Boujis party was eclipsed by Charlotte Tilbury and Charlie Forbes wedding at the start of September.

Piles of August regulars postponed their trips for the most glamorous of extravaganzas Laura Bailey, Eric Fellner, Tom and Sara Parker Bowles, Kate Moss, Alice Temperley and Lars Von Bennigsen were just a smattering of the hundreds of A-listers invited to dine and dance til dawn - literally.

In true Ibiza style the newlyweds got a special party license so the music was ensured til 8am. A bride always gets her way.
